The Suggestion Box: Ontario

I forgot to post this yesterday and we already crossed into Ontario this morning, but the good news is that I’m spending a week in the province that I visit most often. Lots of places to visit and people to see. But if you have any must-see sights in Ontario, especially ones that you think I might miss, let me know!

So far, planned stops include Thunder Bay (here now), Sault Ste. Marie, Parry Sound, Ottawa, Kingston, and Toronto. With a side trip to London to pick up Jules, but London is one of my least favourite cities and I’ve already been there quite a few times, so we’re not doing anything there besides breakfast at Cora’s.

Don’t know how long you have in Parry Sound, but the 30000 Islands boat cruise is worth it, as is the climb at the observation tower that is found here:

    Hey Mel,
I’m from Sudbury, ON. and if you are planning on driving from Sault St. Marie to Parry Sound you’ve got to most likely drive through Sudbury. Just to let you know we have “The Big Nickel” here in Sudbury. It is infact a HUGE NICKLE that is worth checking out. Its located at Dynamic Earth which is another tourist place, since we have a lot of ‘minning’ here in Sudbury. Also there is Scient North – which looks like a HUGE snowflake, which is off the water of Ramsey Lake. If I knew you were stopping by, I’d show ya around the city a bit. Anyways just a though 🙂
